May 13, 2009 by gradhillelsdJewish Family Service of San Diego is expanding its wonderful Rides & Smiles volunteer program (driving older adults to appointments; volunteers select at their convenience) to San Diego’s College Area soon. See below for more info.
On the Go – Rides & Smiles®: Now expanding to a new region serving the College and Del Cerro areas! (Zip Codes 92115, 92119, and 92120).
Volunteer to help open the car door for an older adult who needs you. Volunteer drivers provide rides to older adults to necessary personal and medical appointments. Hours are flexible—you choose who, when and where you drive. Volunteers receive mileage reimbursement.
